The winners will appear in a scene with Knox
Miriam Weeks, the 18-year-old Duke freshman who revealed herself to be porn star Belle Knox, will be hosting an online porn star competition called The Sex Factor. In the promo video for the series, she explains that eight guys and eight girls will compete for $1 million and "porn stardom." The 16 would-be actors and actresses have never had sex in front of a camera before (or at least shared the experience) and it will be up to an online voting congress to decide the winner, who will appear in a scene (read: "have sex with") Belle Knox. (Note: She says she'll do a scene with the winners, plural.)
Helping them all are four more porn stars – 2014 Penthouse Pet of the Year Lexi Belle, AVN Female Performer of the Year Tori Black, 2014 AVN Best Actress winner Remi LaCroix and porn actor Keiran Lee who claims to have insured his penis for $1 million – who will be offering advice and encouragement to the contestants. The clip shows Lexi Belle telling one man, "Well, you have a really big dick, so I'm expecting a really good show." And LaCroix offers, "You've got to be fearless to be in porn; the first couple of scenes are a little nerve-racking, but I'm going to help these stars gain the confidence they need."
The show's creator recently told the New York Daily News that the competition would show "full-on explicit, advanced porn scenes like group sex." The show will be filmed in San Francisco and be broadcast online this fall.
Weeks recently invited Rolling Stone onto the Duke Campus to shadow her as she explained how she wound up paying her way through college by having sex onscreen for an in-depth interview. In the article, she revealed that she lost her virginity in high school, that she recently modeled for her own sex toy and that some of her family members have turned their back on her. Ultimately, she said she felt more respected at the Exxxotica porn expo than at Duke.
