Daft Punk break Spotify record

Get Lucky is most-streamed new single in Spotify history.
Daft Punk have broken Spotify streaming records with their new single Get Lucky. The first new single from the French duo in eight years, Get Lucky had the biggest first day of streams globally since the service began.
In the UK and US, Get Lucky was streamed more times than any other track had managed on a single day, out-streaming the previous record holders Macklemore for his song Thrift shop (for the US) and Bastille's Pompeii (for the UK). However, the exact figures of what the record-breaking stream total is are still unknown.
The disco track, which features Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, comes after an intense promotion campaign for their forthcoming album Random Access Memories, which included teaser riffs and even an advertisement slot at Coachella festival. It will be Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo's first studio album since 2005's Human After All, although they did score the Tron: Legacy soundtrack in 2010.
