BRITAIN’S Got Talent hammered rival show The Voice in last night’s ratings, official figures have revealed.
It brought in a huge 9.35million viewers and a 36.9 per cent audience share - its joint-highest ever launch figures. And including viewers of the +1 channel, viewers peaked at 13.03million - that’s more than last year’s X Factor Final.
BGT returned for a new series with judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.
The battered BBC show The Voice - which stars Jessie J and Tom Jones - only attracted 6.67million viewers and a 26.8 per cent audience share.
The stats gave the singing show its third weekly increase but still weren’t enough to topple their novelty act rivals.
